MUTAN RECORDS v.s. ROBOTS

 

 

Die erste Mutan - Compilation ist  erschienen.  ´Ne Menge Freunde aus dem Mutan Umfeld haben für diese Platte  unveröffentlichte Lieblingsstücke zur Verfügung gestellt. die komplette Tracklist sieht so aus:

001. Gomo Park    „gate 56“ (overdub) 5.15 written, recorded and produced by Gomo Park - die originalversion dieses Tracks gibts auf dem Album "FISCH". Wenn man die Compilation bestellt, sollte man am besten "FISCH" mitordern.

002. Monojo & Deborah  „contrastes“ 4.30  written and produced by Monojo &  Deborah Vilchez  - Die Originalversion von "contrastes ist schon ein wenig älter. Für die Compilation remixte MONOJO seinen eigenen Track. Wer bei Deboras Stimme und MONOJOS selbsteingespielten Streichern keine  Gänsehaut bekommt ist definitiv nicht menschlich.

003. Dub Rogue feat. Blondub Sexy Sound         "andromeda "   6.05     written, recorded and produced Dub Rougue & Orly Frider  -  Dub Rogue, der seit einigen Jahren das Label DUB FLASH - Records in Berlin betreibt, hat sich mit der Sängerin/Songwriterin/Produzentin Orly Frider alias Blondubsexysound zusammen getan und diesen Ohrwurm gezaubert. Die Original version findet sich auf ihrem Album was 2006 auf dem Label imusic.co.il digital veröffentlicht wurde.

004. Ketsa  „reach“   3.45 written, recorded and produced by  Ketsa  - Ketsa betreibt mit seinen Partnern in London das Label sopsoad - Records. Nebenbei bastelt er geniale electronische Musik am Rechner. Ständig gibt es neue Frickeleien auf seiner myspace Seite zu hören. Mit Sicherheit gibt´s in der Zukunft noch mehr von Ketsa auf Mutan Records zu hören.

005. Encym   „tief dap“   4.21 written, recorded and produced by encym - Encym ist ein Sideproject des Münchener Ausnahme Gitarristen Roland Reinke. Ein wunderbarer Frickel - Dub track kommt von ihm. Auch sehr zu empfehlen ist sein Bandprojekt -PARASIT-.

006. tokyo tower v.s. the KLF  „what time is love“ (down with  Mu)  5.10 written by Bill and Jimi, produced by tokyo tower  -  Dazu muss man nicht wirklich viel sagen. Jedem Clubgänger der die letzten 20 Jahre nicht geschlafen hat kennt The KLF und ihre  Technohymnen. Der Stuttgarter Tokyo Tower, der im letzten Jahr besonders durch seine Remixfähigkeiten auffiel (u.a. 2Raumwohnung, Noiseshaper, Eric Sumo), trägt mit seiner Version diesen KLF Klassiker in die Neuzeit. Das Tempo wird runtergeschraubt und die dicken Bässe kommen rein.  Ein absoluter Knaller im Club.

Sehr feine Sammlung von verschiedensten Downtempo Dubstücken mit jazzigen Anklängen, Strings, abstrakten Beats, sehr fluffigem Gesang und manchmal auch einem Hauch Elektronika. Unerwartet das alles, aber sehr willkommen und definitiv eine Platte auf der es einiges zu entdecken gibt. Mit dabei: Gomo Park, Monojo & Beborah, Dub Rogue feat. Blondub Sexy Sound, Ketsa, Encym und Tokyo Tower vs. KLF mit einer "What Time Is Love"- Version (engl. Aussprache). Eine Platte bei der man sich in die großen Downtempo-Zeiten zurückversetzt fühlt, und plötzlich wieder zu ahnen beginnt, dass sich in dieser Welt viel mehr tut, als man zu hoffen geglaubt hat.
